Importance of interior designs in office spaces

Hello lovelies, hope you all had a fantastic weekend, and hope you all are geared towards a new week.  I spent my weekend taking a class on lighting in interior spaces, which I hope to share with you all soon, and also getting enough rest in preparation for this week. Today, I am sharing the importance of interior design in office spaces. How interior design will affect your company and beef up your business. For those who own a business and an office space, and also those who hope to have one soon, this is for you all.

With the cost of payroll and attracting and retaining the best staff or clients, good office design and a really well designed and fitted out office has never been so important…

1.       It Motivates Employees and improves Productivity – having a great and well-designed interior space in an office will have a great impact on the way employees respond to work.  Considering that the office is home away from home for many people; it is essential to make the working environment very comfortable and inspiring. You don’t want your employees looking dull, uncomfortable and angry which will most likely lead to low productivity.

2.       It Excites Clients – have you ever visited an office and you immediately want to patronize them? (I am sure this has happened at least once) well, that is the huge impact that a good office design will have on people and to be clients. An exciting office interior will make your business look more successful, professional and can help build your client trust.  You will find customers trooping in all day long. it is all psychology.

3.       It is a Huge investment – Never consider the money spent on interiors a waste. You are investing in the productivity of your employees and the credibility of your business. Your office interior can actually speak volumes about your business, its values and approach that it takes.

4.       It Reflects  on your business – Your office space should reflect and represent what your business does and the industry you work in. Creative businesses such as advertising agencies, design studios and media, will have more modern offices with some bright pops of colour and style. This won’t be most appropriate for more traditional businesses such as law firms, banks and accounting practices. However, there generally are no official rules. So long as your office space is warm, inviting and resonates with your business culture, then you should be okay.

Good office design can solve a  multitude of problems and can transform a tired office environment into a rejuvenated and inspirational one. if the approach is taken seriously by both clients and office designer the result can be truly magnificent, resulting in increased employee morale.
